ACP Cladding Maintenance Tips to Keep Your Facade Looking New

ACP cladding is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance — a few simple habits keep a facade looking sharp for decades.

Routine cleaning matters more than people think

A simple wash with water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent every few months removes dust, pollution grime and bird droppings before they stain the panel surface permanently. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbing pads, which can dull the panel's factory coating over time.

Check the sealant joints yearly

The silicone sealant between ACP panels is what keeps water out of the joints. Over several years of sun and temperature changes, sealant can crack or shrink slightly, so an annual inspection — especially before monsoon season — helps catch and reseal any gaps before they cause water seepage behind the panels.

Watch for panel edges and rivets

Loose rivets or lifted panel edges are usually the first visible sign of an installation issue, and they're far easier and cheaper to fix early than after a panel has come loose in high wind. A quick visual check from ground level every few months is usually enough to catch problems early.
